About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cary, NC. As a dedicated professional, you will be responsible for providing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create tailored educational plans to meet the unique needs of each student, aligning with their learning objectives.
  • Provide Direct Instruction and Support: Offer direct support and instruction to students with various disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically.
  • Collaborate with General Education Teachers: Work closely with general education teachers and staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of accommodations and modifications.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Regularly track and assess student progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Communicate Effectively with Parents and Guardians: Maintain open and transparent communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and any concerns that may arise.
  • Participate in Meetings: Engage actively in meetings, including IEP reviews, team discussions, and professional development opportunities, to stay informed and contribute to the growth of the educational environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Teaching Certification: Possess valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-6).
  • Experience Working with Students with Diverse Learning Needs: Have experience working with students who have varying levels of abilities, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and guardians.
  • Ability to Adapt Teaching Methods: Show flexibility in teaching approaches to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
