The Deploy Platform team operates within the Core Infrastructure division, dedicated to constructing and managing dependable, scalable, and efficient cloud infrastructure that enables DoorDash developers to deliver exceptional products swiftly and reliably.

This team is focused on facilitating the seamless transition of development work into production environments, ensuring safety and speed. Their expertise spans coding, systems architecture, integration, and a comprehensive understanding of scalability and developer efficiency. The tools and systems they create are utilized by all developers at DoorDash.

Role Overview

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, building, operating, and maintaining tools and infrastructure for software building, testing, and deployment.
  • Leading initiatives that enhance the experience of deploying code to production.
  • Safeguarding customer experience by automating software deployment processes.

You will report to the Engineering Manager of the Deploy Platform team within our Infrastructure Organization. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications We Value
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a software engineering capacity, excluding internships, with proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Python, and/or GoLang.
  • Professional experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in developing tools and infrastructure for developers.
  • A passion for enhancing developer productivity.
  • A product-oriented mindset applied to infrastructure.
  • Strong competencies in both systems and software.
  • Familiarity with Spinnaker, Helm, AWS, and Terraform is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation Overview

The base salary range for this position is outlined below. Compensation may vary based on geographic location.

Actual compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, relevant experience, and specific work location. For remote roles, base salary is adjusted according to the employee's work location.
