CSL Plasma is seeking a highly skilled Plasma Processing Technician to join our team. As a Plasma Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of plasma products.
Key Responsibilities- Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
- Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Verify the accuracy of unit labeling by checking the pre-printed label against the dynamic label.
- Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and use a heat sealer to ensure the sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
- Pack and ship samples and units in accordance with SOPs and center procedures.
- Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.
- Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
- Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs.
- Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available.
- Promote safety in all actions and maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
