Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with attorneys to manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and summarize findings to inform case strategy.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date case files.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Communicate with clients, outside counsel, and witnesses as needed.
  • Maintain a calendar of court deadlines and ensure timely submission of documents.
  • Assist with regulatory agency complaints, including communicating with representatives and gathering necessary documentation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in an in-house setting.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes, legal terminology, and court rules.
  • Proficient in legal research tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
