Senior Contract Specialist (0037)

OCT Consulting, LLC is a recognized SBA-certified, 8(a) small business dedicated to providing management and technology consulting services to Federal Government clients. Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an Acquisition Professional with a strong background in drafting pre-award documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Contract Specialist roles or in Contracting and Procurement. Experience within a federal agency acquisition office, either as a government employee or contractor, is essential.

Specific duties will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Creating, revising, and maintaining pre-award technical documentation, including market research, independent government cost estimates, and purchase requisition documents.
  • Collaborating with acquisition professionals, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure the production of accurate, clear, and compliant documentation.
  • Assisting in the collection of information regarding acquisition processes, contract requirements, and procurement regulations.
  • Supporting the creation, editing, and maintenance of technical documentation pertinent to acquisition processes, contracts, and procurement activities.
  • Gathering relevant information on acquisition processes, contract requirements, and procurement regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a secret clearance and be eligible for DoD or DoJ Top-Secret access.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of comprehensive federal contract experience, including the preparation of draft pre-award documents such as PWS, SOW, IGCE, and Market Research.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), contracting procedures, and procurement processes is required.
  • Proficient in using document creation, collaboration, and formatting software tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to project timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, acquisition professionals, and stakeholders.
  • Acquisition certification is highly preferred (e.g., FAC-C, DAWIA certification, and other industry certifications will also be considered).

Certifications

  • A FAC-C or DAWIA Contracting certification is highly preferred.
