Job Overview:

As a vital member of the Safety and Security team at Cedar Fair, you will engage in various roles such as Security Associate, Security Officer, Dispatch Associate, Loss Prevention Associate, or Housing Security. Each position provides valuable experience, excellent incentives, and flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Monitor and deter unauthorized access to park areas and assist with traffic management.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for incidents or investigations, and provide testimony in legal proceedings when required.
  • Maintain professional relationships with local law enforcement and safety services while ensuring confidentiality in all departmental documentation.
  • Assist guests and team members, including those who are lost or separated, and respond to emergencies, providing basic first aid as necessary.
  • Conduct visible patrols of park facilities to safeguard property, assets, guests, and staff.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service in alignment with Cedar Fair standards.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to complete all necessary training and pass evaluations.
  • Capability to provide proof of certifications.
  • Willingness to work during nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
  • Must pass a mandatory (or random) drug screening as per company policy, unless prohibited by law.
  • Ability to successfully undergo a background check, which may include credit, criminal history, DMV records, previous employment, education, and personal references, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
