Job Summary:

The Classroom Assistant will work closely with our lead teachers to implement a Reggio-Emilia Inspired Approach, promoting social, emotional, physical, verbal, and cognitive development in our children. This role requires a strong commitment to creating meaningful relationships with children, parents, and families, and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing curriculum that promotes child development and learning.
  • Teach and actively monitor children in the learning environment, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Implement positive discipline strategies and Progettazione when planning and setting up the classroom environment.
  • Interact with parents and families, soliciting volunteers for participation in the program and providing support as needed.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in a safe manner, with a positive attitude and a commitment to Paladin's success.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Knowledge of working in a preschool setting preferred, but not required.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certifications within 30 days from date of hire.
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a privately-owned vehicle with liability insurance for use in completing work responsibilities as required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish desirable, but not required.
