Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAT/Regents Prep Tutor to join our team at the Boys Club of New York. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to our high school-aged members, helping them to achieve their academic goals and prepare for college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of our members
  • Prepare and deliver instruction in SAT and Regent courses, including pacing and adapting to the needs of individual students
  • Assess and score pre- and post-tests to measure student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program content and materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in teaching test preparation, with a focus on SAT and Regent preparation
  • Relevant subject matter expertise and experience working with diverse populations of males
  • Documentation of high achievement on both sections of the SAT and/or similar standardized tests
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles
