Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in supporting our clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care. As a PCT, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in infection control and risk management activities to ensure a safe environment for patients.
  • Guide new patients through our 120-day education plan to ensure they understand their treatment and care.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood systems for treatment, and insert and remove patient access needles.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of any concerns.
  • Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight, and determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
  • Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights, and maintain and track inventory.
  • Perform laboratory work as needed.

  • Competitive pay range from $17.00-$22.19 per hour, depending on healthcare experience.
