Job Summary:

As a skilled mental health professional, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for adult and child members presenting with a range of mental health needs. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and support to members and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental illness, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and research methods.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in patient care.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to meet the needs of members, providing referrals and support as needed.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • May supervise post-graduate trainees and provide consultation to other care providers on matters related to mental health and behavioral medicine.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) or equivalent licensure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric treatment team setting, with crisis intervention and individual/family psychotherapy experience.
  • Knowledge of behavioral medicine and health psychology principles, with ability to develop and implement programs in various settings.
  • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a multidisciplinary clinic environment.
