We are seeking a full-time, bilingual Medical Scheduler to join our team in Webster, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for checking-out patients and understanding their needs to successfully organize and schedule procedures accordingly and promptly.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with all relevant parties regarding patient and procedure information
  • Follow up and ensure all documentation is obtained
  • Verify if all authorizations have been obtained prior to scheduling procedures
  • Schedule and/or reschedule patient follow-ups and procedures
  • Coordinate transportation for procedure patients, if needed
  • Inform and provide patients with necessary information and instructions prior to procedure date
  • Follow up on all canceled or no-show patients
  • Check-out patients
  • Send prescriptions to pharmacies via fax or email
  • Move patients through appointments as scheduled
  • Answer telephone and deal with inquiries
  • Update patients' information into the database
  • Able to travel between various locations, if needed
  • Flexible scheduling may be required to meet company needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and eCW
  • Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Ability to work independently, guiding oneself with little or no supervision and depending on oneself to get things done
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
  • Ability to communicate professionally with patients
  • Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma; some college preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years in medical office scheduling setting
