Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant III

ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will perform a variety of tasks in authorized settings, including:
- Obtaining patient history
- Performing physical examinations
- Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Formulating a diagnostic impression
- Developing and implementing a treatment plan
- Monitoring effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
- Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs
- Making appropriate referrals
- Prescribing and dispensing prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies
- Assisting in surgery
- Performing minor procedures and surgical procedures
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program (for Nurse Practitioners)
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice (for Physician Assistants)
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and DEA registration required
