Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) presents an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to become part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigates contractual obligations and Boeing's Quality Management System standards to determine relevance to specific proposals and program documentation.
  • Develops components of quality metrics and certification plans to ensure adherence to contractual, corporate, and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluates capability assessments to assist in supplier selection processes.
  • Engages in various reviews to guarantee that quality characteristics are integrated into product designs.
  • Conducts data analysis to confirm readiness for manufacturing and testing phases.
  • Provides material review decisions for non-conformances.
  • Assesses non-conformance trends to measure the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compiles performance reports and statistical data to ensure that specified process capability levels are met.
  • Operates under general supervision.

Work Environment:

This position is expected to be fully onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work at one of the designated locations.

Security Clearance:

This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance is required post-start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • Experience in developing and utilizing detailed work instructions, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or similar Quality Management System standards.
  • Experience in applying audit standards, procedures, and techniques.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA) and corrective action processes.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data analysis and/or data mining.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience using data software systems such as Minitab, Excel, Tableau, SQL, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management or engineering project planning.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical data analysis.
  • Knowledge of special processes, metallurgical practices, and aircraft tube & duct welding processes.

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 2:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master).

Level 3:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master + 3 years of related work experience).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
