Facility Maintenance Associate

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is to execute the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department in alignment with the prevailing federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. This role is essential in ensuring that our environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming. In the absence of the Building Services Director, the Housekeeper will report to the Nursing Supervisor.
Work Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday - 4-hour shifts & Saturday - 8 hours
- Week 2: Tuesday to Friday - 4-hour shifts & Sunday - 8 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Duties: Ensure adherence to cleaning schedules as closely as possible.
- Coordinate daily cleaning services with nursing staff during routine cleaning tasks in resident areas.
- Participate in departmental meetings and staff training sessions as required.
- Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, and visually appealing condition.
- Implement established infection control and safety practices during housekeeping tasks.
- Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift.
- Communicate supply needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties as assigned, including cleaning and polishing furnishings and fixtures in resident rooms and recreational areas.
- Uphold the confidentiality of resident information and respect their personal rights.
- Familiarize yourself with the Resident's Bill of Rights and ensure compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.
