BAS Healthcare, a private company, specializes in providing medical disability examination and evaluation services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Salary: $120-$180 per hour (half-day rate) or $200-$250 per day (daily rate), plus one-time bonus for completing required training and performing first exams

Job Description:

We are seeking a Medical Professional to conduct PRN disability examinations on a need basis. The ideal candidate will have experience with compensation and pension, musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions, as well as proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular conditionsProficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditionsAble to work independently and efficientlyPossess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Others:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting examinations, submitting reports, and completing administrative tasks within 48 hours of exam completion. Training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). Record review is required in most cases, and follow-up administrative work will be necessary on a regular basis.
