Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Academic Support Specialist to provide individualized education plans and instruction to students with disabilities in Oregon.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week with 35 hours per week.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with various disabilities and be able to develop and implement effective educational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with various disabilities, using evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure the success of all students.
  • Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress, making adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • A valid teaching license in Special Education is required.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
