Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Part-time Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Adventist Health Sonora. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to medically complex patients in a specialized acute care setting.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, which involves working autonomously and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound, ostomy, and continence care programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing specialized consultation on wound, ostomy, and continence issues for patients, families, and medical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Collect relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation, analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues, develop plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes, and implement plans while employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment, and directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams.
  • Maintain accurate and concise documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, along with relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required, along with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification.
  • Wound care certification is preferred but not required.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
