About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Materials Test Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Physical Sciences Department, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and future development of unique high temperature test rigs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement test procedures for high temperature materials
- Operate and maintain high temperature test equipment, including data processing and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new test methods and techniques
- Conduct experiments and gather data to support the development of new high temperature materials
- Develop and maintain documentation for test procedures and results
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory or materials testing environment
- Direct, hands-on experience with pressure, flow, or temperature measurement hardware
- Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar productivity software
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasking to meet project deadlines
- US citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in metrology, fabrication, operation, or maintenance of test apparatus
- Proficiency with LabView programming and control
Education:
BS in Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field with 2 years of relative experience.
