Job Overview

As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas. This includes gathering and washing dishes, loading and unloading dishwashing machines, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and wash all dirty dishes, pots, and pans, and load them into the dishwashing machine.
  • Unload clean dishes and put them away in their designated storage areas.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishroom and surrounding areas.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of dishwashing and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment

This position requires prolonged standing, walking, and lifting in a 95% indoor environment. The kitchen can be cold, with temperatures reaching -10 degrees in the freezer.
