Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our team at Sage Hospitality. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities
  • Dishroom Operations: Gather and rinse dirty dishware, load and operate the automatic dishwashing machine, and unload clean dishes for storage.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Manually scrub and polish kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, and utensils, to ensure cleanliness and presentation.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized dishroom, sweep and mop kitchen floors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Basic Knowledge: Possess a basic understanding of dishwashing principles and procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and travel short distances.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and interact with colleagues.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of energy and focus throughout their shift.
