About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide collaborative and multidisciplinary care to patients with complex medical needs, working closely with attending physicians, resident and fellow trainees, nurses, and medical assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct pre-infusion office visits and oversee the transfusion of blood products and the infusion of chemotherapy, iron, IV IgG, and other pharmaceutical agents
- Manage acute clinical issues that may arise in the Infusion Center, including infusion reactions and anaphylaxis
- Ensure that all orders are complete and signed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare staff
Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher as required by specific Advanced Provider role
- Current and active license for the state of Oregon
- Current national board certification
- Ability to manage a heavy workload with multiple priorities and inflexible deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing
- Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing, and spreadsheet software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an APP in complex medical or pediatric subspecialty care
- Experience as an APP in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
