Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Banquet Houseperson to join our team at Loews Coronado Bay Resort. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Event Execution
  • Work closely with the banquet manager to review event orders and assignments to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure that all cleaning duties are completed to the highest standard, including doors, door frames, walls, and air walls
  • Conduct thorough cleaning inspections of meeting rooms and assigned areas
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and excellent condition of equipment and surrounding work areas
  • Communication and Teamwork
  • Communicate promptly with guests and colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
  • Notify appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems or unusual matters of significance

Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 100 pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Ability to push, pull, or otherwise move portable table/chart units from storage area to function rooms
  • Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One+ years' experience as a Set Houseperson in a high-volume, upscale hotel
