Job Title: Registration Specialist II
Job Summary:
- The Registration Specialist II is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for scheduled and unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets and serves patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.
- Collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information.
- Completes financial clearance functions for assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes.
- Assists with patient registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
Requirements:
- Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience
- Preferred: At least 1-2 years prior registration experience.
- Skills
- Computer and keyboarding experience.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public and co-workers.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with a large number of people/calls daily and covering urgent requests.
- Knowledge of need for confidentiality.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- CHAA preferred.
