Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Operations Lead to join our team at Gulfstream. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all tasks assigned within the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul shops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Under general supervision from management, plan and coordinate all tasks assigned within the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul shops, providing daily status reports to management as necessary.
  • Scheduling and Manpower Management: Schedule tasks, assign manpower, and work across business units to solve problems and resolve discrepancies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure completion of applicable forms and records necessary for compliance with Repair Station regulatory requirements and Corporate Standards.
  • Training and Development: Arrange technical training as required and ensure applicable PQL qualifications are kept current for subordinates.
  • Performance Management: Provide input to performance appraisals to area management for review.
  • Process Improvement: Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to ensure shops are meeting production requirements, work areas remain clean, uncluttered, and safe.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and instruct shop personnel in proper procedures and techniques.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure all work performed by assigned team complies with all required documentation, including Component Maintenance Manuals, drawings, blueprints, Computerized Maintenance Procedures, and all other applicable required documentation.
  • Environmental Health and Safety: Ensure assigned team complies with all company and legislative environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and resolve gaps within processes to ensure continuity of operations within the framework of repair station requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Workload Management: Evaluate workload, actual and projected schedule, parts availability, current and estimated manpower to determine adjustments to manpower requirements.
  • Lean Initiatives: Establish and foster an environment of innovation and Lean thinking, using and encouraging the use of Lean tools and techniques to improve safety and repair processes, increase efficiency, and realize cost savings.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Communication: Must have demonstrated leadership ability and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret all required maintenance and regulatory documents.
  • Operational Knowledge: Must demonstrate expertise in operating all tools, test equipment, and/or material handling equipment relevant to the area or responsibility.
  • Specialized Tooling: Must be able to operate specialized tooling.
  • Mathematical Skills: Must process good understanding of shop math.
  • Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in use of commercial and proprietary software packages and apps.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
