Job Summary:

As a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Lead at Gulfstream Aerospace, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all tasks within the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul shops. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of aircraft maintenance and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate all physical and regulatory requirements related to aircraft and/or aircraft component maintenance
Review work performed and ensure completion of applicable forms and records necessary for compliance with Repair Station regulatory requirements and Corporate Standards
Plan, schedule, and arrange completion of tasks in order to meet all MRO schedules
Arrange technical training as required and ensure applicable PQL qualifications are kept current for subordinates
Provide input to performance appraisals to area management for review
Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to ensure shops are meeting production requirements, work areas remain clean, uncluttered, and safe
Lead and instruct shop personnel in proper procedures and techniques
Ensure all work performed by assigned team complies with all required documentation including Component Maintenance Manuals, drawings, blueprints, Computerized Maintenance Procedures, and all other applicable required documentation
Support process improvement through lean initiatives and other tools to enhance efficiency, safety, and production
Ensure assigned team maintains and uses all required paperwork in accordance with FAA Repair Station requirements
Ensure assigned team complies with all company and legislative environmental health and safety regulations
Identify and resolve gaps within processes to ensure continuity of operations within the framework of repair station requirements

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
FAA A&P license or be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date
7 years experience in aircraft maintenance/aviation
Must have demonstrated leadership ability and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret all required maintenance and regulatory docs
Must demonstrate expertise in operating all tools, test equipment and/or material handling equipment relevant to the area or responsibility
Must be able to operate specialized tooling
Must process good understanding of shop math
Must be proficient in use of commercial and proprietary software packages and apps
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
