Windsor Court Resident Service Assistant

Carle Foundation Hospital is seeking a Resident Service Assistant to provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) related to personal care and hygiene to Windsor Court residents under the direction of an RN.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal/activity escorts, activity reminders, medication reminders, etc.
- Assist residents in preparing for transportation, outings, and appointments in a timely manner.
- Respond to resident pendant calls immediately and appropriately, requesting additional RSA or nursing assistance as needed.
- Capable of checking manual blood pressures and blood glucose levels, recording results and following up according to guidelines prescribed for that resident.
- Documents all care tasks in a timely manner.
- Provides progress notes on residents.
- Reports both staff and resident incidents and accidents to nurse, manager and Online Event Reporting.
- Participates in emergency drills and actual occurrences according to emergency response protocols maintain resident safety and comfort.
- Reports any changes in a resident's condition to the nurse and/or manager.
- Attends staff meetings and training sessions.
- EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS H.S. Diploma/GED
- CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification Illinois within 30 days.
- EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Hands-on experience in providing care for an elderly population.
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or One (1) year experience as a caregiver.
The Resident Service Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills, and be able to maintain confidentiality.
