Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, while assisting with the provision of patient care as established within the framework of the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with data collection and provide feedback to the Registered Nurse from a variety of sources to enhance clinical decisions about treatments and nursing interventions.
- Obtain data sensitive to cultural diversity, ethnicity, age, gender, and lifestyle choices from multiple sources, including the patient, significant other, healthcare providers, and medical records.
- Carry out therapeutic interventions established in the interdisciplinary plan of care, while implementing interventions with safety, skill, and efficiency, and adjusting according to patient response.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing care and therapies, and document responses to nursing interventions according to hospital standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, research findings, and evidence-based practice to improve clinical care, and assist to achieve unit-specific nurse-sensitive indicators and other indicators being monitored.
- Current State LPN License.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of ten (10) hours of continuing nursing education annually in addition to the 20 hours of mandatory licensure requirement.
- New graduate LPNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience.
- Weight Lifted: Up to 100 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time.
- Weight Carried: Up to 50 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time.
- Vision: Moderate, Frequently 31-65% of time.
- Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65%.
- Standing/Walking: Frequently 31-65%.
- Pushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65%.
- Intensity of Work: Frequently 31-65%.
