About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of practice.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
  • Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
  • Communicate patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Complete documentation of patient related tasks.
  • Maintain professional certifications and technical knowledge.
  • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
