We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist II/SS to join our team at the Department of Mental Health. As a key member of our professional treatment team, you will provide a wide range of psychological services, including assessment, evaluation, and treatment of mentally disturbed, emotionally or physically handicapped, or socially maladjusted patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose and treat patients with mental health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and services to patients.
- Supervise and instruct trainees and other members of the treatment team in the field of psychology.
- Doctorate from an accredited college or university in psychology, educational psychology, education with the field of specialization in counseling psychology, or in a discipline deemed equivalent by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.
- License to practice as a psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.
- Experience providing psychotherapeutic treatment to the mentally or emotionally ill.
- Experience conducting psychological research and studies.
- Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supervising and instructing interns, residents, or unlicensed clinical psychologists in the field of psychology.
This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient contact. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team setting and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
