About the Role:

This role presents a distinctive opportunity to join a burgeoning team within Corporate Solutions. Reporting directly to the unit head, your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Identifying and generating new business opportunities across small, middle market, and large/complex risks
  • Underwriting both renewal and new risks
  • Conducting thorough pricing analysis based on comprehensive loss scenario reviews
  • Providing essential insights into risk appetite and market feedback
  • Building and nurturing relationships with key producers and brokers
  • Managing a book of business efficiently
  • Collaborating with claims and product teams to address coverage ambiguities
  • Managing complex accounts and delivering innovative solutions to clients
  • Inheriting an existing renewal book while developing a new portfolio
The work location for this position is flexible.

About You:
  • Educational/Professional Background
    • University graduate with a primary or higher degree (or equivalent)
    • 3 to 5 years of underwriting experience or equivalent for Underwriter level
    • Understanding of loss and combined ratios
    • Experience in product contamination and recall is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Key Skills and Knowledge
    • Strong analytical and communication abilities
    • Proven capability to drive the deal process with brokers and achieve a hit ratio exceeding 20%
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of inspiring and challenging others
    • Adept at building trust across various business areas, particularly with underwriters and brokers
    • Ability to provide market insights to refine division-wide growth and profitability strategies
    • Proficient command of English (spoken and written)
    • Resilient under stress, with the ability to work independently
    • Demonstrated accountability for your responsibilities
    • Willingness to travel occasionally (primarily domestic)
    • Team-oriented, with a strong ability to collaborate with others
