Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at the University of New Mexico's Department of Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate will have completed a medical, surgical, neuroscience, or anesthesia critical care fellowship and have a strong background in academic Emergency Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and supervision in the adult Intensive Care Units and Emergency Departments at the University of New Mexico Hospital and Sandoval Regional Medical Center.
- Participate in teaching, administrative, and research activities with the Center for Adult Critical Care and the Department of Emergency Medicine.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and academic programs in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine.
- MD/DO or equivalent degree.
- Completed a surgical, neuroscience, medical, or anesthesia critical care fellowship.
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care.
- 3 to 5 years of directly related experience, including time spent in residency and fellowship.
- State of New Mexico Medical license and Federal DEA Certification at time of hire.
- Clinical skills relevant to Critical Care and Emergency Medicine.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to community engagement and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Interest in scholarly, educational, or administrative work, including coaching and mentoring.
