The Waters of Covington is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Administration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications to our residents with safety and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer oral medications, including scheduled and PRN medications, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Monitor residents for drug reactions and report any concerns to the nurse immediately.
  • Calculate medication dosages and stock the medication cart.
  • Document medications administered on the medication administrator record (MAR) chart.
  • Report to the nurse on duty on resident response to medications and any other pertinent information.

Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered state license as a Qualified Medication Aide.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
