Job Summary

Peraton is seeking an Expert-Level (18+ years) Systems Engineer to work within our dynamic Enterprise Engineering team in Springfield or Chantilly, VA. The Enterprise Engineering team supports the Government by providing systems engineering and integration support for NGA's Sensor Integration (TIS) Office. This team provides strategic and solutions-level systems engineering support for the integration of new sensor capabilities into the Enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of systems engineering solutions for complex systems and systems of systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure that solutions meet the needs of the customer. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation, and providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Requirements

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience of 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.
  • 18 years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
