Job Title:

Certified Surgical Tech

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Tech to join our team at a leading healthcare facility. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing sterile operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and providing support during surgeries.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites
  • Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies
  • Track surgical supplies
  • Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures
  • Work well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and the general surgical team
  • Help provide great patient care
Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passion for patient care
  • Minimum of two years of current Surgical Tech experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Surgical Tech California state license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks
