Job Summary:
A highly skilled Geologist is needed to provide technical expertise and support for various projects at Shannon & Wilson Inc. This role involves conducting field explorations, collecting samples, and preparing field reports. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform drilling techniques, including hollow stem auger, down-hole bucket auger, and rotary coring. They will also be responsible for organizing laboratory data, conducting limited soil index property laboratory testing, and reporting data. Effective communication with subcontractors, clients, and staff at all levels is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology and 0-6 years of experience as a Geologist, including soil sampling and some testing experience. They should also be prepared to take the Professional Geologist exam in Illinois and possess experience in geologic interpretation using soil and rock samples retrieved from explorations.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per year and comprehensive benefits, including employee ownership, medical, prescription, vision, and dental coverage, and pre-tax health and daycare FSA.
