Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Services Manager to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of food service professionals and overseeing the overall service in our main dining room and special functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee dining services operations of a small to medium volume location, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive reputation for our company.
  • Assist with profit and loss and budgeting, analyzing data to inform business decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create menus and provide top-quality food, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the industry.
  • Assist in the responsibility for all food service-related activities, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities.
  • Assist with the rollout of new culinary programs, working closely with marketing and culinary teams to increase sales and drive business growth.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for client presentation, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company's vision and values.
Requirements
  • 2 years of food service supervisory or lead experience, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and driving business growth.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred, as well as general hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred, as well as an Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
