Job Overview

KB Components Dallas, a leading plastics injection molding company in Arlington, Texas, is seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician to join our team.

We are part of the KB Components global company based out of Sweden, and we are committed to delivering high-quality plastic parts to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain injection molding machines, including Milacron, HPM, Mitsubishi, Van Dorn, Nissei, and Engel brands, to produce plastic parts according to specifications.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time, to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Perform troubleshooting and tasks to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other technical documents to ensure accurate production.
  • Conduct quality inspections of molded parts using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions.
  • Follow ISO 9001 & 13485 certification requirements and participate in audits to maintain compliance.
  • Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and ability to support PPAP submissions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Prior experience operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
  • ISO 9001 & 13485 certification experience and familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of the PPAP process and ability to support PPAP submissions a plus.
  • IATF 16949 experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
