Cardiovascular Specialist I-EPS

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Specialist I-EPS to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for invasive cardiac procedures, assisting with hemodynamic monitoring, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities- Maintain sterile techniques to prepare rooms, equipment, and provide quality care to patients.
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper working conditions and alert the care team of any changes.
- Retrieve supplies under the direction of physicians and nurses during procedures as needed.
- Restock lab areas and maintain stock at par levels in procedure rooms.
- Participate in product evaluations and count revolutions during rotablator procedures.
- Turn on and check all equipment at the beginning of the day, troubleshoot problems, and contact the appropriate person to repair equipment.
- Assist in patient transport and transfer to procedure tables.
- Perform assignments according to established guidelines, including assisting cardiologists with selective procedures, applying principles and practices of asepsis, and setting up sterile instrument tables.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; foreign MD with MBBS examination may substitute.
- Registered Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS/RVS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Mount Sinai experience in Cardiac Cath or EP lab.
- Foreign MD with MBBS examination may substitute.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
