Job Title: Facility Specialist

At Advantasure, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in facilities operations and maintenance.

Job Summary

The Facility Specialist will be responsible for planning, material acquisition, team leadership, and provision of general oversight of the operations and maintenance of assigned company facilities. The primary purpose is to provide high-quality, cost-effective installation and repair services to all systems at company facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest level of facility system service expertise and authority.
  • Responsible for all facility operations and maintenance activities, including coordinating facility projects such as construction, mechanical/electrical system upgrades, capital improvement projects, and facility reconfigurations.
  • Responsible for all tools, repair parts, and other supplies necessary to complete routine and emergency tasks.
  • Investigate and analyze equipment/system problems and provide solution recommendations and/or cost estimates to leadership.
  • Responsible for the proper application of safe work practices on the job site and compliance with all pertinent federal, state, local, MIOSHA regulations, and construction codes and standards.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper lockout of hazardous energy sources on all facility systems or equipment upon which work is to be performed while maintaining assigned equipment and spaces in optimum condition.
  • Responsible for notification of any company facility discrepancies noted to team leadership and any required service that cannot be properly completed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing equipment and system installation, fault analysis, and repair in a comparable facility.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.
  • Must be capable of independently assembling all materials and resources to complete assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of State and Local Construction codes and standards.
  • Must be able to coordinate the work activity of others and capable of training junior personnel and coordinating the work activity of others on the operations and maintenance team.
  • Must be able to communicate well with customers, staff, and employees.
  • Must be able to travel to other facilities within the region with overnight stays may be required.
  • Must be available to work any required shift on short notice, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
