We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Lowell General Hospital. As an Outpatient LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Implement medical and nursing plans of care, administer medications, and perform procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining patient rights and dignity.
- Perform technical aspects of patient care, including medication administration and treatments, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and documenting patient responses.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse and base care on pathophysiological and psychosocial rationale.
- Establish positive relationships with patients and families, providing teaching and counseling as needed.
- Review and educate discharged patients and families on ADLs, medications, and treatments.
- Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in the medical record.
- Delegate responsibilities to others, maintaining a collaborative work relationship with peers and colleagues.
- Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Experience dependent on unit requirements and needs.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor certification.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
