Job Summary

Under limited supervision, performs as Staff Dosimetrist in providing comprehensive treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements treatment plans for radiation therapy patients, ensuring accurate and effective delivery of radiation doses.
  • Collaborates with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless treatment planning and delivery.
  • Operates radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, radiation therapy simulators, and CT simulators, to deliver precise and accurate radiation doses.
  • Performs quality assurance checks and maintains accurate records of treatment plans and patient data.
  • Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiation oncology and treatment planning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in physics or related field, or graduation from an approved Medical Dosimetry Program.
  • Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) within 2 years of hire date.
  • CPR Certification for Health Care Professionals.
