Job Description

This special education teacher position involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) based on each student's unique needs. You will provide instruction and support to students with disabilities in self-contained and inclusive settings, collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure student success.

As a special education teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Providing instruction and support in self-contained and inclusive settings.
  • Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure student success.
  • Employing effective teaching strategies to address academic, social, and behavioral goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in special education or a related field.
  • A valid Oregon special education teaching license.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate up to $35, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you may be eligible for increased pay with advanced certifications or specialized experience.
