About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Oncology Nurse to join our team at CHI Memorial Hospital. This role is an excellent opportunity for a nursing professional to gain experience in radiation therapy and cancer care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the use of the nursing processes, providing leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient care through the use of the nursing processes
  • Provide leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient team personnel
  • Understand radiation therapy, pathophysiology of cancer, and main treatment modalities and their interactions and side effects
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure in Tennessee or Georgia (based on location) or eligibility for licensure
  • BCLS required within probationary period
  • RN OCN certified within 6 months if employee has current oncology experience meeting ONCC practice guidelines for certification testing
