Job Overview

The Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Inc. is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering girls across various regions. We are currently seeking part-time Community Engagement Program Coordinators to facilitate our initiatives in diverse communities. The ideal candidates will be available during evenings and weekends as required by program demands.


Role Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to design and implement our Community Engagement Programs within designated areas. Candidates should possess a strong proficiency in various computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.

Additionally, a willingness to learn new software and a keen attention to detail are essential. Being a collaborative team member is crucial for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Outreach Programs Manager to create and execute activities, events, and badge work while addressing any issues that may arise with community partners or guardians.
  • Collaborate with program sites and educational counselors to identify and recruit girls who would benefit most from our programs.
  • Organize and lead regular program sessions for participants, aligning with the established curriculum and badge requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation, including attendance, registration forms, and completion of badges; prepare necessary reports and evaluations.
  • Participate in required training sessions, events, and meetings to ensure effective program delivery.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Youth Development, or Public Health is preferred. Previous experience with the Girl Scouts or in similar community-focused roles is advantageous.

Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for this position.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include the ability to operate a computer, sit for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
