Job Summary

At Danbury Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing and administering radio pharmaceuticals to detect and treat disease. Your expertise will be essential in making images that allow physicians to identify abnormal areas and diagnose illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

1. Position equipment (gamma cameras) over patients to make images that allow physicians to identify abnormal areas and diagnose illnesses.
2. Explain tests to patients and administer radioactive doses by mouth or injection.
3. Follow strict safety regulations due to the dangers of radiation effects on patients' bodies and organs.
4. Perform quality control on cameras.
5. Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Registry eligible candidates are welcome to apply. Desired qualifications include 1-3 years of experience and ARRT or CNMT Nuclear Medicine Registered certification.
