Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house Rehab Team at HallMar Village, a joint ministry of Mercy Medical Center and Presbyterian Homes & Services.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants and current licensure in the state of practice as required.

About the Role:
  • Implement and provide high-quality Occupational therapy care and services to residents consistent with regulations and established rehabilitation policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide patient/resident and family education/consultation related to the disorder and its management.
  • Communicate resident status and needs to the patient/resident, their family, staff, and other professionals.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct care of residents with physician-ordered evaluation and treatment based upon regulations and established rehabilitation procedures and best practices as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain records by practice standards, third-party payers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established rehabilitation best practices.
  • Maintain treatment area, equipment, and supply inventory as directed.
  • Assist with daily operations of the rehab department as directed.
  • Coordinate rehabilitation care with other healthcare professionals inside and outside PHS.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree from an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants.
  • Current licensure in the state of practice as required.
  • Competence in assisting occupational therapy evaluation and treatment per OT standards of practice.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
Compensation:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
