The Fareway Distribution Center is actively looking for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Vehicle Lot Coordinator at our Over-the-Road Truck Holding Lot.

JOB FUNCTION:

As a Vehicle Lot Coordinator, you will support the distribution center team by providing essential delivery information and assistance to over-the-road drivers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the check-in process for drivers arriving at our holding lot.
  • Organize the daily receiving schedule through effective communication with drivers and receiving offices.
  • Maintain clear communication with over-the-road drivers, trailer shag drivers, and warehouse office staff.
  • Guide over-the-road drivers to their designated receiving docks.
  • Perform some janitorial tasks, including cleaning the Lot Office and driver vending area.
  • Manage general record keeping and office responsibilities.
  • Ensure the lot and Lot Office area are clear of snow and ice.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and teamwork orientation.
  • Basic administrative computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Capacity to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision, while also accepting direction on assignments.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Pre-employment work-screen and background check are required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primarily office-based with some outdoor responsibilities.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional Saturday work may be necessary.
