At Comprehensive Care, our caregivers serve as the essential frontline representatives. As a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA, your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care for the elderly, vulnerable, and disabled individuals who often require assistance with daily activities. Your commitment to prioritizing the client's needs is paramount, and you will be expected to perform the following duties with the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in their personalized care plans. These activities may include, but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating, and continence care.
- Provide medication assistance, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to appointments, and companionship.
- Complete other household tasks as specified in the client's care plan.
- Document daily activities and report to your supervisor using the agency management system and daily activity logs. Utilize other communication methods as necessary, including phone calls, emails, and face-to-face interactions.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA at Comprehensive Care, you will also be expected to:
- Practice safety in all activities involving clients.
- Lift or push weights up to 50 pounds as required.
- Exhibit honesty, accountability, and integrity in all interactions.
- Deliver exceptional care to clients.
- Remain alert to any potential care concerns or changes in clients' conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policies, including adherence to the dress code.
- Be punctual in reporting for shifts and managing scheduling changes.
- Report any suspected abuse or neglect immediately through the appropriate channels, as mandated by law.
- Document any unusual behaviors, events, conditions, or individuals encountered.
- Uphold the confidentiality of records and correspondence.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as requested.
- Comply with all policies and procedures established by the company.
- Ensure the protection of confidential information in accordance with company policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
