Job Summary:

Chattanooga Endoscopy Center is an outpatient endoscopic facility specializing in gastroenterology. We prioritize compassionate medicine, ensuring patients feel reassured and unrushed. Our experienced, board-certified physicians are dedicated to caring for their neighbors in the Chattanooga community and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing patients for designated procedures as requested by physicians
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures
  • Handle patient specimens per policy
  • Accurately complete laboratory slips and culture/path slips, as requested
  • Report observed changes in patient condition to Endoscopy/Recovery Room nurse (if applicable)
  • Restock supplies as appropriate for the next procedure or end of the day
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare the endoscopy suite according to requirements of patient, physician, and procedure
  • Clean the endoscopy suite between cases and daily terminal cleaning
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies
  • Demonstrate a caring, respectful, sensitive, tactful, compassionate, empathetic, and tolerant attitude
  • Provide a safe environment for patients
  • Legibly document when necessary in the performance of job
  • Promote patient and physician satisfaction
  • Practice appropriate aseptic techniques and sterile processes as appropriate to the endoscopy suite
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protected Equipment (PPE)
  • Observe universal precautions
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN state license
  • One year of nursing experience
  • CPR and/or ACLS-PALS certified
  • Strong ethical and moral character references
  • Basic computer skills
