Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, shipments, and personnel.
  • Execute a flawless Distribution Center operation, meeting or exceeding productivity and quality standards.
  • Accomplish warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of subordinates and provide constructive and positive feedback.
  • Approve time sheets and time off schedules.
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement in various activities of the warehouse, including safety, audit readiness, and efficiencies.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all direct report responsibilities and provide coverage support when needed.
  • Assist in meeting warehouse financial standards.
  • Effectively manage issues and evaluate continuous improvement opportunities with warehouse team.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse.
  • Supervise warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space and adhering to storage design principles.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and reconciling variances.
  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions and troubleshooting breakdowns.
  • Assist with inspecting outbound and/or Inbound loads to ensure current shipping standards are met.
  • Maintaining RF and portable printer stock levels and tracking/repairing damage equipment.
  • Working interdepartmentally to help identify and correct issues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a distribution environment.
  • 5+ years managing a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation, distribution experience required.
  • Highly organized with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Forklift certification/License required.
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization without assistance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • ERP/SAP experience required.
  • MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
